From endless emails and phone calls to… one structured negotiation
From endless emails and phone calls to… one structured negotiation.
The story behind LoadGate AI negotiation is pretty simple.
AI could be used in almost every industry, but in LoadGate we found a use case where it can actually make a difference. With 10+ years of building products for logistics, we’ve realized something: transport managers (or people in similar roles) rarely have the time to truly focus on freight costs. Most of the time they’re doing their best to keep daily operations running, picking a suitable carrier from a trusted list and moving on, instead of negotiating back and forth. Sure, you can put a load on a public platform. But if you already have a pool of carriers you trust, that’s not always the best option.
So how is it different with LoadGate?
You upload your load, select your trusted carriers, and share the load info with them (they get an email).
And yes, the obvious question is: “Will carriers really log into yet another platform?”
That’s why carriers can place their bids directly via e-mail. Those bids land in LoadGate, and then the negotiation loop is handled by LoadGate’s AI, until your preferred price (or conditions) are reached.
Does that really have an impact?
In practice it does, because instead of calling a few carriers one by one, you can put your whole trusted carrier pool to work, without the manual ping-pong. And the math gets interesting quickly: with ~1,000 shipments per month, LoadGate can pay for itself with less than a 1% improvement in freight rates. Most customers end up closer to ~2.5% savings, which can mean roughly €36,000–€276,000 in net annual savings, depending on lanes and average freight cost.
It won’t replace your transport manager, someone still needs to make the final confirmation. But it can make the work less stressful, save time and money, and free people up for the work that actually matters. And honestly, that’s one of the simplest ways to make a real difference in a transport manager’s day.
